Darren,

Did you buy the Ultimate Collector's Edition?

Hi Pascal,

no, I bought the single disk edition.

The single disk edition is exactly the same as the deluxe edition disk.

What it misses out on that is in the deluxe edition is the non-disk based collectables and the documentary: "Jack L. Warner: The Last Mogul", which is featured on a second standard DVD in that set.

As interesting as the Jack Warner doco no doubt is, I felt it was not a true Casablanca extra anyway, but rather thrown in to give the appearance of better value. I love the cute collectables but don't think they warrant the extra $$$ and also just don't have space for them :( I got the similar collectable set for the Dirty Harry series (got it pretty cheap + at the time they were not available in single disks editions) and the goodies are just boxed away and never looked at. I like what they are doing with the new Wizard of Oz set, which is to give a choice of 3 options - the super deluxe collectables edition, the deluxe 3 disk (disk only) set, and the single disk edition. I will get the 3 disk (disk only) version of that, which has all the same disk based extras as the super deluxe version minus the non-disk based collectables. I did the same thing with the Blade Runner set, getting all the disk based stuff, minus the collectables. BTW that Blade Runner set is amazing!
